Cardonet offers flexible IT support, professional IT project delivery and expert IT advice to businesses throughout the UK. Specialising in providing IT services to the hotel, hospitality & leisure sectors, we believe that IT service excellence should be the standard, not the exception. This is at the heart of Cardonet’s service ethos.
What makes us so different?
> We are genuinely vendor neutral. Most clients view vendor accreditations (Microsoft Gold Partner, HP Preferred Partner etc) as badges of competence. Whilst this is an aspect of such accreditations, most are also conditional on achieving minimum spend levels. Put simply, you can lose your Gold/Preferred status if you don’t generate these vendors an agreed amount of target revenue. Encouraging clients down a particular technology route in order to maintain these accreditations is so deeply embedded within our industry that most IT service providers genuinely see nothing wrong with it. We are not most IT service providers. We will advise you on the most appropriate tool for the job, and then tell you where you can get the best price for it. We don’t take a penny from this, unless you ask us to manage the procurement. If we don’t have the skills in-house to support your technology choices, we will either learn them, hire staff with them, or find them for you.
> We work when it’s most convenient for you, not for us. It’s an agreed industry standard that if an hour’s support costs £X, then an hour’s support at 3am costs £X x 2. At Cardonet, we believe our clients are already paying us to avoid business disruption – and we wouldn’t feel right charging them again. If that means client performing critical updates in the middle of the night rather than the middle of the day, then that’s what we do. At no extra charge. We believe this should be standard practice, although we have heard of no other company that applies this principle.
> We started this business in 1999. From that date to this, Cardonet has never employed a single sales person. Not one. Our business has grown almost exclusively by word-of-mouth & recommendations. It’s not that we have anything against sales people, but we feel that the IT services industry is far too driven by service providers who are sales-led. At Cardonet, we believe that service providers should be, well, service-led.Visit Website >
