Hotelympia Unites Leading Technology Associations for 2014 UK ‘Mega-show’

Hotelympia has announced a landmark partnership with the Hospitality Professionals Association (HOSPA) and Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) – uniting the two biggest associations of their type in the UK and worldwide, respectively.

The partnership paves the way for a powerful four-day program when the UK’s most comprehensive event for the hospitality industry returns to London’s ExCeL taking place April 28 – May 1, 2014. Participants can expect technology briefings, case study presentations, one-on-one mentoring and a standout CEO/CIO/FD one-day technology summit.

Commenting on the partnership and plans for 2014, HOSPA Chief Executive Carl Weldon said: “This is a tremendously exciting link-up and will put state-of-the-art technology, laser guided insight and discourse at the top of the agenda when Hotelympia returns. Pooling the strength of both HOSPA and HFTP – and a combined membership of more than 6,000 – means that, over four days, show visitors and exhibitors have a unique opportunity to reap the business benefits on offer.”

With over 22 percent of Hotelympia’s audience in 2012 visiting with a specific interest in purchasing hospitality technology, the brand new program of events is set to further strengthen the show’s offering. Returning for 2014 is the HOSPACE Hub – a dedicated area within the technology section, which will host seminars, offer meeting space for one-on-one networking and house a dedicated HOSPA/HFTP lounge area.

Toby Wand, managing director at Fresh Montgomery, adds: “With an exciting program of events overseen by HOSPA and HFTP, our plans should send a signal to the technology community that Hotelympia is the only UK show you need to visit in 2014. Over four days they will find the very latest innovations and a host of likeminded people looking to do business in a setting created especially for that purpose. We look forward to welcoming the technology fraternity to our doors.”

Frank Wolfe, CEO at HFTP also added: “HFTP is honored to work with Hotelympia and HOSPA in this strategic partnership. There are many new organizations trying to offer education and conferences in the segment. However, HFTP is only interested in high quality, which is why we have partnered with HOSPA and Hotelympia.”
