HOSPA is celebrating a new era for its education offering as it appoints Heyward Group to oversee the running and ongoing growth of its professional development programmes.
HOSPA has been providing educational opportunities for those working in hospitality for more than 50 years, and this latest evolution sees responsibility for the day-to-day running of its Finance, Revenue Management and Asset Management courses passed to Heyward Group as part of a 5-year partnership.
The agreement will see the Heyward Group manage the course programmes on HOSPA’s behalf. The courses support industry professionals’ growth from an introductory level through to a strategic level across all three professions.
The Heyward Group, founded by CEO Michael Heyward, brings with it a wealth of experience in the sector, with Michael himself having worked in hospitality for more than 30 years, while his team benefits from a diverse and dynamic background across both hospitality and education.
Years of practical experience and leading academic research will see the group, under the leadership of Michael Heyward, continue to evolve and enhance the existing professional development programmes currently offered by HOSPA, while the partnership has also established a roadmap for growth that includes reinvesting in the current programmes alongside developing new and innovative offers.
Jane Pendlebury, CEO of HOSPA, commenting on the news, said: “We would like to thank Debra Adams and her team at Arena4finance who have successfully delivered HOSPA’s professional development courses for many years. The handover to the Heyward Group is already well underway, and we will formally say goodbye to Debra at the end of next month. We will miss her and we know she will be missed by the learners but as Debra is one of our longest standing HOSPA members we look forward to welcoming her to HOSPACE and many other HOSPA events in the coming years.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Heyward Group as we move forward. Their innovative approach and vision for the future really struck a chord with the HOSPA board, and we were unanimous in our conviction that partnering with the Heyward Group was the obvious next step when it came to growing and evolving HOSPA’s education offering. The experience and expertise the Heyward team brings really will help us to enhance and build on our long-standing reputation for educational excellence within the hospitality industry.”
Michael Heyward, CEO and Founder of Heyward Group, said: “We have been fans of HOSPA for many years and are delighted to have this opportunity to support their educational initiatives and give back to the industry that we love. We look forward to collaborating with HOSPA to ensure that their training and education initiatives continue to have a lasting impact on the professions that support the hospitality industry.”
